If you recall, in book 1, we were introduced to a deadly disease known as RM. In the first book, PARTIALS, our main character Kira discovered some devastating news about herself, which leads her to go on a sort of expedition to find out more about her father and her upbringing. You could never be too careful in Manhatten. Kira watched until she was sure there was nothing else to see, then watched some more just in case.

Intrigued? Let’s get into my review of Fragments! See, I have this habit of mulling over plot points in my head as I read, so most of the time, when I get to the ending of a book, I am usually right about how the story is going to end.īut all of the books in the PARTIAL SEQUENCE left me guessing! I have since finished the next three books in the PARTIALS SEQUENCE and have been utterly blown away! ( When I say “next three books” I’m inclucing Isolation, which is part of the Partials story, but more of a backstory on the creation of the Partial army but is not necessary reading) I wrote up a quick review on the first book in this YA Sci-Fi series, Partials, a few weeks back and I liked the book SO MUCH that I kept on reading. Author Dan Wells is back with the sequel to the sci-fi blockbuster Partials, which Pittacus Lore called a “thrilling sci-fi adrenaline rush, with one of the most compelling and frightening visions of Earth’s future I’ve seen yet.”Īfter discovering the cure for RM, Kira Walker sets off on a terrifying journey into the ruins of postapocalyptic America and the darkest desires of her heart in order to uncover the means-and a reason-for humanity’s survival.ĭan Wells extends his richly imagined, gritty world and introduces new memorable characters in this second installment in the Partials Sequence.
